Our family, now in its third generation, is dedicated to making family time together that little bit more relaxing, active and enjoyable. With relaxation, enjoyment and adventure, everyone lives their holiday dream and lets the good mood do the talking at the end of the day.
At Ebner's Waldhof am See, we want to make wonderful family days possible for you and do everything we can to provide the ideal conditions for successful family holidays. Salzkammergut in Austria by the lake is your playground.
Who is in charge of the fun? The youngest ones, of course! And after so many leisure time experiences together, parents can feel the need for some child-free time. In our indoor playground, your little ones will find the attentive care that you as parents want for them – with supervision and a colourful programme during the Austrian holiday periods.
Perhaps you would like to hire a baby-sitter in the evening to look after your precious children? That is also possible at Ebner's Waldhof am See, our family resort, Salzburg.
Indoor & Outdoor Experiences
Would your youngsters like to let off steam indoors? Or perhaps enjoy a quiet and magical story? Or would they rather watch a film in the children's cinema? Or prepare their own delicious meal in the doll's kitchen? Stroking and looking after the cute little animals? The possibilities are countless, and the eyes of our pedagogical staff are watchful. When the sun is shining, it's time for the kids.
Let's get out into the fresh air. We are sure you’ll want to see your children to play to their heart's content on our outdoor adventure playground with tubing track. Your children will certainly want to visit the ponies, horses, and alpacas in the Waldhof 'Rösslstall' and maybe even take a carriage ride with our host Stephanie Ouvrard-Ebner. Experience a holiday with the Ebners at our family resort. Salzburg and Salzkammergut holidays are guaranteed to never be boring.
Little Tarzans will love the forest climbing trail. Although vines don't grow in the Salzkammergut, we can have fun without them. 80 – 120 centimetres above the forest floor, you move from tree to tree. Here, both you and your children can demonstrate dexterity. You can master the course at your own pace on three different difficulty levels.
Hellbrunn Zoo
From our family resort, Salzburg is just a short ride away. Around 800 animals have their home at the gates of the city. Beside the magnificent Hellbrunn Palace with its impressive baroque fountains, tigers, rhinos and other animals live at Hellbrunn Zoo. Carts are waiting at the ticket office for the little visitors who get too tired to walk for all the looking and marvelling.
Abarena - All-weather amusement park in Abersee
A wild-west-style town, mine, mini-trampolines, an observation tower and a water playground. The Abarena is a great destination for all weather conditions and is open from April to October.
Hallstatt Salt Worlds
The oldest salt mine in the world provides an insight into the history of mining the ‘white gold’. Highlights include the cinema 400 metres underground, the 300-year-old man in the salt, the prehistoric excursion and the view over the Hallstatt World Heritage Region from the 350-metre-high skywalk. The Salt Worlds are open from March to December; the journey from your family accommodation, Salzburg, takes around 50 minutes.
Animal Village in Abersee
Goats, pigs, bunnies, birds and horses: in the village of animals, every child will find their favourite – and many can also be fed. Open from April to the end of October.
Zwölferhorn cable car St. Gilgen am Wolfgangsee
Once you are up on the imposing mountain, spectacular views and family-friendly hikes await. Open from January to December (November on request).
Summer toboggan run in Strobl
This regional summer toboggan runs take you rapidly down into the valley. In Strobl, two toboggan runs, each with a descent of around 1,300 metres, await those who love to ride. Open from May to September.
